Well, here we are on Tuesday the 12th, I just got home from a super long/hard run, its so hot out today, yet breezy when youre running. Quite nice! I hope everyone is doing well. We did a d-now this past weekend, it was pretty awesome and God did some great things in our lives and in those students!
So I got a little something to share with you guys. I am originally from Dallas Tx, grew up there and never have really moved away from there. My family currently lives there. When God told me to move to Tyler Tx I was pretty shocked. I loved what Luminate was about and knew God was working there. I felt that was all I needed and God would take care of the rest. Well,, for sure He has taken good good care of me and I have no complaints. One thing I have struggled with is finding a church that I really connect with. we are on the road all the time, it is really hard to be really connected somewhere.
My church back home I was in love with. www.gatewaypeople.com... I had no idea what I was going to do to replace that when I moved to Tyler. I really haven't found that yet,, but God is teaching me that its not about the church you go to and the people you hang around. It about your personal time with me. It the times that you and I get in intimate relationship together so He can use and breathe life in my heart. In all of this, I've been watching this podcast from my home church that has really kept me fed spiritually. Its seriously amazing,, Im in the middle of this series called "about God". Its just learning about who God is and taking our perception of God and throwing out, cause our perception limits us to see God really work in our lives. If we constantly have this perception about God and how big He is, we limit how much He can do in our lives, people around us, and our ministry, ect.!
The last message was about the paralyzed man in Luke 5:17-26. People would pass by this Paralyzed man everyday. This man couldn't move for nothing. He was PARALYZED!! People would probably make fun and thought of this man as a reject. They didn't care, they walked by him everyday and did nothing for him. Until these men thought, there is something we can do for this man. These men knew Jesus was in town teaching and healing. So they decided to pick this man up on his rest mat and take it to Jesus. As the story says, the house Jesus was in was full,, packed with people and they couldn't fit the man inside to see Jesus. So they went back out and conjured a plan to lower this man in from the roof. I can imagine as they were making this hole in the roof that people we freaking out a little, and possibly thinking what the heck. Maybe cursing or something because these men are interrupting there meeting with Jesus. They lowered this man in at Jesus' feet and here is what Jesus said. In verse 20 "When He (jesus) saw there faith, He said to him,, "Man, your sins are forgiven". Then verse 24 says, "I say to you arise, take your bed and go to your house".
So if you notice, Jesus said because of "THERE FAITH" man, your sins are forgiven. So not by the paralyzed mans faith but by the men that carried him there, by there faith this man was forgiven and healed. Now think about this, can we have faith enough for God to heal our family, or to heal our friends. Or how about forgive the sins of our friends and family. Who's rest mat can you carry??? Who can you pick up and take to Jesus and by your own faith they are healed and forgiven?? This can seriously rock your world of faith if you really take it to heart and believe that God is bigger than your mind says he is! Dont put God in your box,, let him out, let him show you who he really is and the power he can poor into you to change your life and people around you!
